Celebrate Pro Bono: 2026 Volunteer Appreciation Awards & Free CLE

The Pro Bono Project will celebrate the extraordinary volunteers and community partners who make our work possible at our annual Volunteer Appreciation Awards Ceremony & Luncheon on Tuesday, October 20 at 12 noon at Jones Walker.

Each year, the Volunteer Appreciation Awards recognize the attorneys, law firms, law students, members of the judiciary, community partners, and supporters whose commitment to pro bono service helps ensure that our neighbors have access to the civil legal assistance they need. As The Pro Bono Project celebrates 40 years of service, this year’s luncheon offers a special opportunity to recognize the people who continue to carry that tradition of service forward.

Before the luncheon, Katherine De Blanc of Stone Pigman will present a free, one-hour CLE, “Heirs Property, Successions & Practical Solutions in Louisiana,” beginning at 11 a.m.  The program will explore estate planning basics, including updates on wills and successions, while providing practical information attorneys can use to assist clients facing heirs property and estate-related legal issues. The CLE is designed both for attorneys already working in this area and those interested in becoming more comfortable handling these matters on a pro bono basis.

CLE: 11 a.m.–12 noon
Volunteer Appreciation Awards Ceremony & Luncheon: 12 noon
Date: Tuesday, October 20, 2026
Location: Jones Walker, 201 St. Charles Avenue, 52nd Floor
